Staying at the Five Arms Hotel in Braemar was a delight, with a dash of charm. Nestled in the bonnie Scottish countryside, this gem offered warm hospitality and a hearty welcome. The rooms, with their stunning views, were the perfect cosy retreat after a day exploring the local attractions. And the food? Oh, absolutely smashing! The haggis was a treat, and don’t get me started on the shortbread! A true Scottish experience with true luxury. This was honestly the best hotel experience I've ever had.

Having recently filmed a beautiful wedding at The Fife Arms we instantly love it, the location speaks for itself with beautiful photo spots easily accessible. The service and staff are great, really attentive whenever we need anything even as a supplier, we are made to feel special, and the food is great. Looking forward to our next visit.

My family and I stayed in between Xmas and New Year and whilst we had a lovely time overall, the hotel didn't offer the experience we had hoped for. Overall it feels like there are too many bedrooms, and therefore people, for the facilities - so everywhere seemed busy and rushed. It was awkward to get a place to sit in the lounges, restaurants etc and when you did, it was cramped and a little uncomfortable. The service was painfully slow and had to be chased most of the time. We had arranged in advance for a birthday cake for one of our group, but this had been forgotten (which is of course a first world problem) - but at this standard of hotel it was disappointing. Organizing a replacement was poorly handled by the hotel. Other parts of the service were super but in the food areas not so good. Turns out only parts of the hotel are dog friendly, we had another awkward experience being told we had to leave one part of the hotel whilst our small dog sat happily and quietly by our chairs. The rooms and decor are very unusual and interesting and the whisky bar is fantastic, as is the drying room facilities. The bedrooms are quite a tight fit. Of course, Braemar and surrounds are lovely. The hotel is in right smack in the busiest spot of the small town - parking etc is something of a hustle and bustle.

Drove up here from Aberdeen. Lovely scenic drive up. Fife Arms is an amazing spot to visit. Just had some drinks at the bar. Would highly recommend a visit.

I really enjoyed my stay at Fife Arms on our tour of Scotland . The service is excellent . The staff are very welcoming , friendly and whole place has a very relaxed vibe The rooms are very comfortable and lots of little extras that made the stay great On the downside , the food in the Clunie restaurant for the price was not good enough . On one occasion , my partner was given 1 scallop as a starter cut in half for £24 . The following night she had six oysters for the same price . This makes little sense . Lauren in the restaurant is very friendly . Good coffee at breakfast The Fife Arms is quite different to Inverlochy castle (where we went next ) see separate review . Fife was warm and welcoming whereas Inverlochy cold and austere . We would return and recommend but not for the food

The worst service they were rude. Mentioned that they didn't serve at the bar but they were actually serving there .. so, the worst hospitality!!!

A wonderful hotel. What makes it special in particularly is the lovely staff. Such nice people. Fish and chips was first class. So fresh and tasty. Check out Bertie’s bar at the rear of the hotel. Simply amazing

A favourite; comfortable, characterful and distinctive. Very idiocentric and extensive collection of the very best modern art, (expected from the global art partnership of Hauser and Wirth), with bespoke commissions, and cabinets of curiosity befitting the Victorian hotel. The long standing integral pub provides great food, fish n chips etc, the restaurent is high end with delicious breakfasts, excellent wood grilled Sunday roasts, and a la carte - preceded by a distinctive cocktail bar offering.

Should have been better. Staff are not 5 stars. Except the chef who cooked our dinner. The best beef Wellington ever. Amazing food.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Exceptionally beautiful public spaces, and tasty food in several different venues. One of the better parts of Braemar.

Wow wow wow! me and my partner stayed at The Fife Arms with our two labradors, what an amazing place it was, it has reignited an old flame and passion for Scotland. The staff were so friendly, kind enough to watch the dogs one evening whilst me and my partner went for a date night in a fantastic fish restaurant in the next village, the Hotel organised a chauffeur to take us there and back, the gentleman driving was a true gent really nice guy, and so was his partner who we discovered was the one that was keeping an eye on our dogs hehe Getting back from a walk and having a cup of tea or beverage whilst sat in a room with so many incredible famous paintings was just mind blowing! Can't wait to come back to see what it's like in winter. 😁 so so happy with our stay thank you!
